Mitchell Noguchi is appointed President of Noguchi & Associates, Inc.
A highly respected independent and locally owned and operated insurance agency of over 35 years, Noguchi & Associates is one of Hawaii’s most significant independent insurance agencies.
Mitchell “Mitch” Noguchi will oversee five branches on four islands with over 150 insurance carriers and 73 employees including independent agents. Noguchi joined his father’s company over 15 years ago as a File Clerk and Receptionist. The Punahou alum worked his way through the company and received training through internship programs at high profile insurance companies on the local, national, and international level. His practice includes time at Pasadena and New York City branches of Tokio Marine (the parent company of Hawaii-based First Insurance Company), training at Island Insurance in a precursor to their current internship program, as well as classes provided through Crum & Forster (C&F).

After receiving intensive training and experience over the course of ten years, in 2016 Noguchi transitioned to upper management and started his focused management training under the careful guidance of Pamela Kirk. At 39, Mitch Noguchi is a “Xennial” (between GenX and Millennial), making his ascent to the presidency of Noguchi & Associates timely. As the company nears its 40th anniversary, the local insurance industry faces fierce competition from large global corporations. A graduate of University of Southern California (USC), Noguchi’s extensive corporate-level training coupled with his personal and uniquely intimate history with the local agency founded by his father, Mitch Noguchi is the ideal next president of Noguchi & Associates.
“I’ve had the benefit to learn from amazing people accomplishing wonderful things in their lives. It’s my privilege to pay that forward to our company and to foster a family and community feeling,” says Noguchi says of his ambitions as president of the insurance agency. “I think it’s important to be a viable and attractive option for people to work and play, feel good about what they do, and take that positivity back home to their families and communities where they live.”
